  3.    This is the final version of Textris. It will be available
  4.    for a bit longer, though, as part of a package deal with my
  5.    other shareware-- AT THE SAME LOW PRICE!-- and now includes
  6.    the Textris source code (for QuickBasic and MASM). See the

  11. Textris 2.0, 07/08/93:

  13.    Added CATALOG.TXT, a catalog of Hanlin software.

  15.    The dictionary has been greatly expanded.

  17.    A variety of dictionary compression techniques have been
  18.    employed to reduce the amount of disk space Textris requires.

  20.    Added something resembling mouse handling, for 3-button mice
  21.    only. The left and right buttons function as left and right
  22.    arrow keys, and the middle button functions as a down arrow.

  24.    Speed increases happen less frequently. However, the top
  25.    speed is considerably faster than it used to be! This adds a
  26.    little excitement back into the game for skilled players.

  28.    The settings for "preview next letter", "drop down" and
  29.    "noise" are now preserved when you exit the game, so you
  30.    don't have to reset them every time you start Textris.

  32.    In the registered version, a new utility has been added to
  33.    make it easier to customize the Textris dictionary.

  39.    The default action of the spacebar or left arrow key is to
  40.    make a letter drop faster.  If you prefer to have the letter
  41.    drop immediately instead, this is now also possible.  Use
  42.    the F4 function key to switch between the two modes.

  44.    A preview window which shows the next letter has been added.
  45.    You can toggle it on or off with the F6 function key.

  47.    Some folks reported keyboard buffer overflows on slower
  48.    machines.  The keyboard is now cleared more frequently,
  49.    which should solve the problem.  If not, let me know.

  54.    seems to be the more standard nomenclature.
